Long time, high cost and slow update of clinical practice guidelines have severely affected their effective use and effective conversion from the latest clinical research evidences into practice. How to use automated and intelligent tools or platforms to speed up the guidelines’ development process, improve their update efficiency, and innovate their dissemination methods has been one of the core issues in evidence-based medicine research. The purpose of this article is to introduce guideline development tools or platforms and summarize and analyze the functions they can achieve, so as to facilitate the selection and application of guideline authors.
